Timeless AND Live stories AND my book!

Tuesday, April 19 at 4pm…repeated Sunday, April 24 at 3 PM

Imagine no clocks. Sounds like a great idea ...until you need to do something like catch a train ... or turn on the radio to listen to The Art Lot.

This week's guest is Tony Wood, an expert on sundials and their history, and he gives a fascinating account of how humanity began to see time as quite a useful artefact.

Tony is a member of the thriving British Sundial Society, and an expert on Mass or Scratch Dials, probably the earliest known form of timekeeping. There are over 2000 Mass Dials in this country alone.

He tells how he first became interested in this shadowy subject, and why sundials have such an international fascination.
