Hi Swithin,

Yes, there is something I'd love to have publicised - a book written by my grandmother, Effie M. Roberts in WW2 (published as 'A Wartime Poetry Journal'). It's a fabulous Christmas present for those older relatives and friends who you don't know what to buy for. It's interesting to anybody who is interested in women's history or poetry as well.

I do lots of readings from it, mostly for senior groups but I have also read for local history groups and U3A. A lot of it is quite humorous. I'll attach the leaflet about it. As I mentioned there are letterpress editions too.

I could come in and talk about how I started the publishing company, while living in Stroud too if you like.

Best,

Philippa

Adventures in paint...

Had a great show on Tuesday [sorry about the blurred pic, Peggy!] with Peggy Ward and Richard Tyley of Lansdown Art Club chatting about their adventures on canvas...and giving practical advice on how to get started with painting...if yo missed the show, you can listen again on Sunday at 3...

And if you want to know more about Lansdown Art Club then phone its chair Marjorie Cunningham on o1453.822692.

They also mentioned the Club's next exhibition way ahead on April 17 to 24 2010 at The Sub Rooms - so when you get your new diaries, pencil that in quickly 'cos it's going to great...

My next guest on Tuesday Dec 1 is going to be tailor-extraordinaire Rowland Oxland - who will reveal how a recording company's tiny error changed the course of his life forever! Listen in! 107.9 locally, or from anywhere in the world www.stroudfm.co.uk
