Tuesday

My studio guest today is a Druid and a Buddhist ... listen in to how James Nicol’s spiritual path led him to this seemingly unlikely combination ... and hear how his original Anglicanism came about largely out of respect for his mother's hat -- it's a great story!

James, who is now a tutor for OBOD -- that's the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids -- talks about his human rights work, his time in New Zealand, and much more ... this is a must-listen to anyone on a spiritual journey -- and who isn't?

Listen in today, December 14, at four ... or the repeat on Sunday, December 19 at three ... you will not be disappointed!

I should mention ... his choice of music is not necessarily what one might expect from such a spiritual person!

My friends, London artists Wyllie O Hagan, have emailed me to say their art film  "First Darkness" picked up two prizes at its World premiere at the Angel Film Awards in Monaco

Here’s the Press release:
Artist film-makers Denise Wyllie and Clare O Hagan won Best Art Film and Best Original Music in the Short Film Category, in a competition that promotes non-violent films.

Wyllie O Hagan’s film First Darkness, shows an artist reconnecting with life through her art, after her friend dies. We see the artist emerge from a place of darkness to one of hope, creating extraordinarily beautiful artwork.

“First Darkness is completely stunning. Utterly beautiful, completely absorbing, technically and lyrically brilliant. Bravo
Jane Ray, Producer BBC Radio 4

The story was written, produced and directed by Wyllie O Hagan and the music that accompanies  the film is an original composition by Simon Wilkinson.
